Maria is a self-taught mixed media artist whose work is the result of her deep desire and need to quiet internal chaos. Along with other well-being practices, Maria has developed her creative style as a result of struggling with, now navigating, anxiety for years. Her artwork often expresses the need to divert and organize anxious thoughts. Losing track of time in her home studio she primarily works in paper, magazine pages, vintage buttons and small findings (because they have a story to tell too). 

Maria finds that the tactile focus of winding, tearing and arranging, gives a welcomed pause to prolonged rapid fire thoughts that are often distracting.

Now living in the belief that taking care of ourselves emotionally is essential, Maria shares her “why” and “how” with others, through her business, Your Next Step. Coaching and supporting others to find their own lightness, gives purpose to the darkness she once knew. Through coaching sessions and creative wellness workshops, Maria is able to provide others with personal insight, guidance and motivation that allows them to discover clarity within the chaos and eagerness to move something forward!

Piece by peace overwhelming thoughts are eased, obstacles are faced as opportunities and a new day is welcomed with a hopeful heart!
